In these scriptures, the letters to the 7 churches were messages from Jesus in heaven. (It was not the inspired words of a human on earth.) This is important to contemplate, especially in these times.
The 7 churches not only represented the actual churches at the time of writing, but periods of time to come and the types of "Christianity" that would be popular in those periods.
