Tithing should absolutely be taught but churches have to remain blameless.

  • Lay ministers. No paycheck.

  • Private method of tithing. No passing the plate around for shame.

The wilderness tent temple was commanded to be funded by voluntary tithing, before the advent of kings and taxes. God doesn't want your money per se but he wants you to sacrifice something of worth.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

Malachi 3:10

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Matthew 19:21

Stop being cheap with God. If you can't part with worldly junk and Jewish toilet paper, He knows your heart isn't ready.

>Spoken to Jews.

I prefer the term Hebrews. Jews are the modern imitators. But we'll stick with Jews for now.

"Spoken to Jews" isn't enough to shoot it down. The commandments were also spoken to Jews and Jesus upheld them by condensing them to two core commandments.

>The tithing in the desert was for Israel to be a dinner theater for the world. If you aren't Jewish, the law wasn't given to you.

Believing Christians are Israel now. Dinner theater operates under the same essential principles then as now.

>When you thread a needle, you spit on the thread and straighten it, the try to put it through the needle. But if your hand is not steady, the thread bends down and you have to try again. But if you hold the thread with your hand on your cheek bone to steady it, you can bring the needle to it.

A moving depiction but unfortunately the eye of the needle refers to the thing in the picture.

>The teaching has nothing to do with tithing.

It has everything to do with tithing. People sneak out of tithing and guard their Smaug stash (you know where I got that from) by saying God isn't about money. Tithing isn't about money either, it's about relinquishing something valuable to God.

"And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life."

"Jesus told His disciples to buy swords so that He can fulfill this prophecy from Isaiah 53:12. Jesus wanted His disciples to buy swords so that it will appear to the authorities that He and His band of followers were transgressors!"

I'm not saying to give up your guns, I'm just keeping it real about that bible verse. Global tyranny cannot truly begin until American citizens in particular are disarmed. It is America after all whose President is going to terminate the Rothschild cabal.

"And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen."

John 21:25

In short, I don't know and I can't know yet.

If you don't want to give money to a church, then light a crisp $100 bill on fire and call that your tithe to God. Surrendering whatever you possibly can to God is how you break out of systems of control. You have to have faith for any of this to hold true. If you are looking at this strictly as a money ledger banking discussion then yes, tithing is a waste of money.
