What if I said I think I've been in contact with the angel of the church of Thyatira?

Only this: That the church at Thyatira, along with all seven churches in Revelation chapters 2 & 3, represent bodies of believers across time and which exist to varying degrees to this day. For example, the church at Laodicea would be NPCs who neither regard God nor oppose him, but exist as sub-cognitive zombies controlled by their "reptilian brain."
As for the angel of the Church of Thyatira, their message is to the body of believers who have aligned themselves with Jezebel (the mystery schools), and who will not be found guiltless for their fornication, lest they repent.
A messenger will come forward to preach to this church, and save the faithful from committing adultery.
