Re-Watching Agents of SHIELD & in season 3 episodes 8-10 they reveal that Hydra is still active via a Presidential advisor with the last name Moloch.

They also figure out that Hydra is really a cult that's thousands of years old that's infiltrated NASA & SACRIFICES people by sending them through a portal to another world inhabited by the alien they worship as a god.

Also noticed the #17 thrown in a scene too
