Jewish Democrat: GOP Only Opposes Antisemitism to Get Money from Jews

Republican opposition to antisemitism is a political ploy to glean money from Jewish donors, said Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) at a “Jewish Democratic summer conference.”

Audio of her remarks was captured and published at the Washington Free Beacon:

There has been a lot of discussion for the past 9 months or so, 8 months, about, anti-Semitism. We have, what I believe is a full-on attempt by the Republican Party to grab a different community and bring them into the fold, and I will just be very honest, right, they are not looking for our votes, because we are a relatively small community, they are looking for our donors, right? They are looking for our donors, and they are trying to sway us.

US to Extend Iran Nuclear Waivers for 90 Days - Bolton

US National Security Adviser John Bolton announced Wednesday that the United States will extend its key sanctions waivers for five Iranian nuclear programs for a total of 90 days.

"I think the idea here is we are watching those nuclear activities very, very closely," Bolton said in an interview with Fox Business. "So this is a short, 90-day extension."

Earlier in the day, an unnamed source with told the Washington Post that "these [sanctions] waivers can be revoked at any time, as developments with Iran warrant. But because of the Treasury Department’s legitimate concerns, we’ve decided to extend them for now.”

This will be the second time the US has extended sanctions waivers to only the Arak, Fordow and Bushehr power plants and facilities in the Islamic Republic.

The extension allows Russia, China and European nations to continue projects with the Iran-based facilities without incurring US sanctions.

The related countries' civilian nuclear cooperation projects were established under the guidelines laid out in the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, which crumbled following US President Donald Trump's choice to withdraw Washington from it on May 8, 2018.

On Tuesday, Washington issued a formal request to London, Paris and Berlin to join in combating alleged aggression from Tehran in the Hormuz Strait.

Germany and France have expressed hesitation regarding the US' "maximum pressure" campaign, and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas issued a statement calling for a diplomatic, non-military solution.

"We must make every effort to avoid a further escalation in the Strait of Hormuz … We will look for a way to ease tensions. There can be no military solution to it," Maas said.

Whistleblower Matt DeHart To Be Released From Prison In October

Former U.S. Air National Guard intelligence analyst and online activist Matt DeHart is set for release on October 3rd, after eight years’ imprisonment. He was jailed after pleading guilty to two counts of soliciting child pornography but has maintained that the FBI told him they knew he was innocent of the charges and that evidence supporting the charges was fabricated. DeHart is incarcerated in Ashland, Kentucky.

The Courage Foundation indicated that his release will coincide with a set of over twenty restrictions for a period of ten years, including prohibitions on using a computer or any electronic device that accesses the internet and alcohol consumption.

Matt DeHart’s mother, Leann DeHart, told this writer: “After losing his fourteen months credited time, Matt ended up qualifying for the First Step Act changing the release date of Nov 14th to Oct 3rd. After all that has happened, we are grateful for even this small relief.”

Matt’s service in the Air National Guard as an intelligence analyst coincided with his activism in association with Anonymous. The Courage Foundation notes that as part of his service, he was also granted Top Secret security clearance.

In 2009, DeHart came across what he alleged to be “evidence of wrongdoing by a specific agency, namely the CIA,” in an interview with Robbie Martin on Media Roots Radio. DeHart explained: “By late 2009, someone had uploaded a file to the shell, which is a server, which I operated the front end of… It had a text intro by an individual claiming to be a special agent from the FBI. He was describing how the included documents pointed to the CIA involvement in the Amerithrax case…”

Sources close to the story confirmed the existence of the files received by DeHart to this author, but could not establish whether they originated with the FBI.

In January of 2010, shortly after receiving the file, DeHart’s computers were seized by authorities as a result of a warrant executed on the suspicion that DeHart was in possession of child pornography. During the same time period, Matt was honorably discharged from the Air National Guard, with the official reason citing depression.

Australia shows it's cabal control is still in place

Senior NSW minister attacks abortion bill as legislation presented to state parliament

A senior NSW government minister has attacked a bill to decriminalise abortion in the state, and allow conditional late-term terminations, as "unjust" and says "the community won't stand for it".

The criticism by coalition Finance Minister Damien Tudehope, who is anti-abortion, comes ahead of the bill being presented on this morning to the NSW parliament.

Sydney independent MP Alex Greenwich will introduce the Reproductive Healthcare Reform Bill 2019 to the lower house at 10am.

The private member's bill allows for terminations up to 22 weeks and later if two doctors "consider that, in all the circumstances, the termination should be performed".

But, in an opinion piece published in The Sydney Morning Herald, Mr Tudehope says the bill will make abortion legal in NSW "all the way up to birth, with no meaningful restrictions whatsoever".

"This bill represents an unjust and illiberal law," he added.

"I believe the community won't stand for it."

The draft legislation also gives doctors the right to conscientiously object to performing abortions but they must refer patients to another health practitioner who can provide the service.

The bill, which has been backed by Premier Gladys Berejiklian, was originally scheduled to be debated this week but conservative MPs worked behind the scenes to delay debate until next week.

Mr Greenwich said the bill was 119 years overdue.

"My message to the opponents of reform who are currently playing politics with this reform is clear: don't hold women's reproductive rights hostage because you haven't done your homework," he said in a statement.

The draft legislation has sparked a backlash from anti-abortion advocates, including church groups, which have slammed it as a "bad bill" and accused the state coalition government of trying to rush it through parliament.

An anti-abortion 'Rally for Life' will be held outside NSW Parliament on Thursday by Right for Life NSW, Family Voice Australia, Family Life International and We Support Women.

Despite the backlash, it's believed the bill has wide cross-party support amongst the MPs at Macquarie Street.

Italian government says five EU member states have agreed to take in stranded migrants

The Italian government announced today that it would allow an Italian coastguard vessel to offload 116 migrants who’ve been stranded for the past few days at a port in Sicily, ending its most recent impasse with the EU over migration policy.

Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said that his government had reached an agreement with the European Union that would have the migrants relocated to France, Germany, Portugal, Luxembourg, and Ireland.

Last weekend, after the migrants were picked up at sea by the Italian coastguard ship the Bruno Gregoretti, authorities gave the sea vessel permission to dock at the Sicilian port in Augusta, but only gave children and individuals who were considered vulnerable permission to disembark.

Salvini waited to allow the other migrants to disembark until the European Union guaranteed that they would be relocated from Italy to other EU member states.

In typical Salvini fashion, the Italian leader took to Twitter to address the issue, saying that “with millions of Italians looking for jobs it’s my duty to limit the numbers of migrants coming here”.

Gerolf Annemans, a Belgian MEP from the Flemish party Vlaams Belang and a member of the European voting bloc Identity and Democracy, defended Salvini’s stance, saying: “Europe should decide: are we going to host all Africans that want to come, or not”.

“What Mr. Salvini suggests… is that they will be redistributed to other European countries. I can understand and I support his view, that they cannot be hosted by Italy all the time, all of them,” Annemans added.

Last week, in a letter to France’s interior minister Christophe Castaner, Salvini declared that his country will no bear the brunt of mass migration into Europe.

“France and Germany cannot decide on migration policies by ignoring the demands of the most exposed countries like us and Malta,” Salvini wrote.

“The choices made only in Paris and Berlin are enough, Italy is no longer willing to accept all immigrants arriving in Europe.”

Salvini declared: “Italy is no longer the refugee camp of Brussels, Paris, Berlin.”
