During CNN’s coverage of Wednesday’s CNN Democratic debate, CNN Senior Political Commentator David Axelrod stated that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden’s debate performance was a significant improvement over last time, and might have been the best he could have done, but “the bad news is this may be the best he could do.”

Axelrod said, “I think the good news for Joe Biden is this was maybe the best he could do, and the bad news is this may be the best he could do. He was much better than last time. He was much more engaged. But…he had moments in which he was uncertain, where he was on the defensive. And the main thing is, he was the guy who was going to take on Trump and bring it to Trump and restore values and decency. That was what — that’s where he started in this race. Tonight, he had to be a gut fighter, and I think he paid some price for that.”

I wonder if Booker unknowingly is increasing the black vote for POTUS for 2020, not only in Michigan, but also Maryland and all other states. His biggest mistake is to insinuate Black voters are stupid and don’t see the successes they are enjoying from out presidents hard work

Cory Booker: Trump Won Michigan Because Russians Suppressed Black Voters

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) claimed during Wednesday evening’s Democrat presidential debate that part of the reason President Donald Trump won Michigan in the 2016 election was due to Russia suppressing the votes of black Americans.

“We lost the state of Michigan because everybody from Republicans to Russians were targeting the suppression of African American voters,” said Booker. “If the African American vote had been like it was four years earlier, we would have won Michigan.”

President Trump won Michigan by a margin of 0.23%, with 47.50% of the votes over the 47.27% of then-Democrat White House nominee Hillary Clinton. Political observers attribute the president winning the state to his support from white working-class voters, a group for normally votes Democrats.
