NY Attorneys Issue Subpoena to Trump Org Over Stormy Daniels Payments

Democrats continue their presidential harassment.

The Manhattan District Attrney’s office on Thursday subpoenaed the Trump organization for documents related to Stormy Daniels.

In December a Federal judge ordered porn star Stormy Daniels to pay President Trump $293,052 in attorneys’ fees in her defamation case against Trump which was previously tossed out by a judge.

But this did not stop Manhattan liberals from harassing the Trump family over payments to Stormy Daniels.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office on Thursday reportedly subpoenaed the Trump Organization for documents related to the nondisclosure payment meant to silence adult-film star Stormy Daniels amid the 2016 presidential campaign.

The New York Times, citing people briefed on the matter, reported that the office is investigating whether President Trump‘s family business violated the law in its business records about the payment.

State prosecutors are probing whether senior executives filed falsified business records related to the payment to Daniels. The people briefed on the matter told The Times that this action would represent a state crime.

A spokeswoman for Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance declined to comment to The Times. The office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

Donald Trump: Mexico Has Done More to Protect Our Border than Democrats

President Donald Trump thanked Mexico for their efforts to help control the Southern border during acampaign rally in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Thursday.

“I’m starting to like a Mexico a lot,” Trump said. “They do a lot more for us than the Democrats do, right? A lot more.”

Trump said that Mexico deployed 21,000 soldiers on the border to help keep illegal immigrants from crossing into the United States.

He said that the numbers of migrants and illegal immigrants crossing into the country were “way, way down,” thanks to his efforts to toughen up the border.

He noted that Democrats continued to welcome more illegal immigrants into their cities, while failing to deliver results for their own citizens.

“Democrat lawmakers care more about illegal aliens than they care about their own constituents,” Trump said. “They put foreign citizens before American citizens. We’re not going to do that.”

It's the latest in an array of technological tricks anti-Beijing protesters have used to stay a step ahead of local police as they increasingly resort to harsh riot control tactics to break up masses in the streets, including using virtual private networks on phones to conceal identity, and encrypted messaging services like Telegram.

The original video had been broadcast by Hong Kong's Now TV before going viral on social media and shows protesters distorting the view of street security cameras.

ared Kushner arrives in Morocco, meets MBZ and foreign minister of Oman

An administration official told the Post that the meetings, aimed to build momentum after the Bahrain workshop, were "extremely productive.”

Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's senior advisor, arrived in Morocco Thursday and met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) of the United Arab Emirates, an administration official told The Jerusalem Post.

In addition, he met with Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Oman's minister responsible for foreign affairs. Kushner was joined by special envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt, special representative for Iran Brian Hook and deputy assistant to the president Avi Berkowitz. While it was initially expected that the group would meet MBZ in the UAE, the meeting ultimately took place in Morocco.

According to the official, the meetings were "extremely productive," and came as a follow-up to Bahrain's "Peace and Prosperity" workshop. It is not immediately clear when the peace team will also meet with a Moroccan official.

Last week, an administration official told the Post that the visit is intended to finalize the economic component of the peace plan and discuss possible resources for funding the administration's vision.

"We are trying to keep the momentum of the Bahrain workshop," he added.

The four US envoys also discussed where the funds should be based, and support locating them in Bahrain to show that countries in the region stand behind the plan, the official said.

In recent weeks, the US has received feedback from several Middle East countries on the draft of the plan that was presented at the workshop. Now, they hope to finalize it.

The meetings in Morocco end a busy week, in which the peace team met with six different leaders in five countries. On Tuesday, the team arrived in the region and met with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.

On Wednesday, the team met in Jordan with King Abdullah, followed by a meeting in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer and US Ambassador David Friedman attended the meeting, as well.

On Thursday afternoon, they also met with President Al-Sisi of Egypt, before leaving for Morocco.

An administration official said earlier this week that the Middle East team will report back to the president, the vice president, the secretary of state and the national security advisor upon returning "to discuss the many potential next steps to expand upon the success of the Bahrain workshop.”
