Just days after 911, Dr. Calabresi, a pioneer of chemotoxic drugs for cancer publishes a paper in Cancer Research about a discovery he made regarding an old and safe antibiotic known as Taurolidine. He found that this widely accepted drug was effective against a broad range of cancers, while leaving normal cells uneffected.
What happened you ask? The patent was quickly licensed by a company that was quickly acquired by the private conglomerate known as the Carlisle Group. That name ring a bell!?
Anyway, the drug was essentially shelved, but read the wiki page on it. They will have you believe that the pivotal trial is right around the corner. Bullshit! 2001 folks and that’s just one example off the top of my head.
