A Michigan man poisoned his wife's coffee was sentenced Thursday to a sentence of only 60 days in jail - which he will serve on the weekends….
MOUNT CLEMENS, MI – A Michigan man who admitted to poisoning his wife’s coffee with diphenhydramine has been sentenced to 60 weekend days in jail and probation.
Brian Kozlowski, 46, pleaded guilty to the crime after he was caught on video tampering with her drink. He was sentenced by Judge Anthony Viviano in Macomb County on Thursday.
According to Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith, the victim began feeling tired and nauseous while experiencing blurred vision soon after consuming coffee on the days that her husband prepared it for her. The victim filed for divorce in May.
She later installed cameras in the kitchen which caught Kozlowski intentionally poisoning her on multiple occasions. Diphenhydramine is the primary ingredient in most antihistamines such as Benadryl.
“This defendant’s actions were despicable,” Smith said in a statement. “We are all thankful this sneak attack didn’t cause the victim to fall asleep behind the wheel on her way to work killing herself and/or innocent drivers.

“This defendant deserves nothing less than a prison cell for his actions and that is what we will be stressing to Judge Viviano Thursday morning or we will be appealing the sentence, plain and simple.”
Probation is substantially below the sentencing guidelines for poisoning, a 15-year felony, Smith said.
According to Smith, the criminal guidelines for the charged offense indicate that the defendant must do a minimum of 19 to 38 months in prison.

The transcript of former FBI Director James Comey’s closed-door Friday interview with the House Judiciary Committee was released Saturday. An admission by the fired deep-stater appears to confirm a belief Republican investigators have held since President Donald Trump was elected to the White House: The FBI failed to adequately verify the anti-Trump dossier used to surveil Trump campaign members during the 2016 presidential election.

Republican lawmaker presses Navy on UFO sightings
A top Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee is seeking more details from the Navy on recent reports of "unidentified aerial phenomenon," including what resources it is using to investigate the mysterious sightings and whether it has "found physical evidence or otherwise" to substantiate them.
"Based on pilot accounts, encounters with these UAPs often involved complex flight patterns and advanced maneuvering, which demand extreme advances in quantum mechanics, nuclear science, electromagnetics, and thermodynamics," Rep. Mark Walker of North Carolina, the ranking member of the Intelligence and Counterterrorism Subcommittee, wrote to Navy Secretary Richard Spencer in a newly released letter dated mid-July.
"If the accounts are true," Walker added, "the unidentified crafts could pose a serious security risk to our military personnel and defense apparatus."
POLITICO first reported in April that the Navy was issuing guidelines for personnel to report the sightings.
"While I am encouraged by the Navy's proactive decision to draft new guidelines for reporting, I am concerned these reports are not being fully investigated or understood," Walker told Spencer.
Walker is also asking whether the Navy is aware of any foreign nations or private companies "who have made significant advances in aero physics."
