So, I'm gonna just bring up that there are shadier nonprofits that exist than the Red Cross.
I should know about shady nonprofits as I worked for one.
For any of those interested,
The non-profit I used to work for was a "United Cerebral Palsy" branch in the Northern Bay Area.
The jobs there were mainly to either shred paper or sort paper to be shred, while the others worked in electronics disassembly, sorting all the hardware to be sold in bulk (save for the hard-drives. Those would either be destroyed or wiped) to buyers from various places.
The stated goal of United Cerebral Palsy is to "Research Cerebral Palsy", but they put no time or effort into cerebral palsy research at all, but instead into the shredding, disk wiping/destruction and disassembly of computers.
How they got contracts for trash from the nearby "Kaiser Permanente" and "IRS" centres, I'll never know. If I'm to place my bets, the latter might've been having to do with NAID certification.
I would've put it in the past thread, but these threads go a mile a minute.
