Ratcliffe removes self from nomination

WASHINGTON (SBG) - President Donald Trump announced Friday Republican Congressman John Ratcliffe from Texas has withdrawn his nomination for Director of National Intelligence.
In two tweets Friday afternoon, Trump said "John has therefore decided to stay in Congress where he has done such an outstanding job representing the people of Texas, and our Country."
The president stated that he felt that Ratcliffe was treated unfairly by the news media.
Trump said that he would be announcing his next nominee soon.
