The FBI recently published a report warning that “conspiracy theorists” discussing the “deep state” are a new domestic terrorism threat.

Yahoo News has obtained a new FBI document dated May 30, 2019 that warns ‘conspiracy theorists’ are the new domestic terrorism threats.

What exactly is considered a ‘conspiracy theory?’

The document specifically called out ‘QAnon’ which is a belief that “Q” is a government official posting information on an online forum about Trump’s efforts to dismantle the Deep State.

“The FBI assesses these conspiracy theories very likely will emerge, spread, and evolve in the modern information marketplace, occasionally driving both groups and individual extremists to carry out criminal or violent acts,” the document states.

The document also claims the FBI believes conspiracy theory-driven extremists are likely to increase during the 2020 presidential election cycle.

The FBI appears to be bracing for Spygate backlash because they said another factor driving the so-called threat is “the uncovering of real conspiracies or cover-ups involving illegal, harmful, or unconstitutional activities by government officials or leading political figures.”

The FBI did not offer any specifics about which political leaders or which cover-ups it was referring to, however the timing is suspicious as Spygate begins to unravel.

Hungary: “Get three children and receive €30,600 from your government”

Under Viktor Orbán’s new pro-family budget, married couples who have three children will eligible to receive 30,600 euros by the Hungarian government.

The government offer would come in the form of a 30,600 euro loan to couples upon their marriage. The loan would have to be repaid until the couple has three children. At that point, the debt would be forgiven, France’s Le Figaro newspaper reports.

In this month alone, approximately 2,400 Hungarian families have already signed up and applied for the loan which is paid out in monthly installments. In the case that the couple has a child within five years, the loan’s interest and scheduled repayments are both suspended for a period of three years.

To be eligible for the program, certain criteria must be met include: one person in the married couple will need to have paid 180 days’ worth of tax contributions to the state, the woman must be between 18 and 40 years old, and the marriage must be the first for at least one of the individuals involved.

Couples who fail to have their first child within five years, as well as those who divorce within the same time period, will be required to repay the full loan within just four months.

This newly announced program is part of a wider pro-family budget which was unveiled earlier in the year by Orbáns Fidesz government is designed to combat massive demographic declines without relying on replacement migration.

“Europe is at a crossroads. Western Europe seeks to address the problem of demography with simple solutions which only offer short-term success, but convey catastrophic consequences in the long run,” a Fidesz party spokesperson said.

The party spokesman continued, saying, “Hungary has a long-term approach and opts for the more difficult path, as a result of which, however, Europe could become an economically strong, rejuvenated continent. Either we encourage births by placing the interests of families in the focus of politics, or we encourage ever further flows of migration.”

Over 100 infected as Tuberculosis OUTBREAK hits German school

Health officials have been scrambled to a school in southwestern Germany where dozens of children have been infected with lung-choking tuberculosis.

A total of 109 students, teachers and other school employees at the Michael Ende non-denominational school have found themselves in the grip of the disease, following an outbreak in the town of Bad Schönborn.

Authorities revealed that four people, including two students, have active cases of tuberculosis, meaning they could be contagious. The four have been removed from the school and are receiving medical treatment.

“We cannot rule out the possibility that there will be new cases of active illness,” Ulrich Wagner from the Karlsruhe health department said to the Badische Neueste Nachrichten newspaper.

The outbreak comes after two children in two separate schools in Bad Schönborn were found in early July to have active tuberculosis. The disease has since continued to spread in the Michael Ende school. The eighth grade class has been particularly badly affected, with 56 students –88 percent of the entire class– contracting the illness.

Local broadcaster SWR is reporting that health officials are now examining the school building to determine how the bacteria was able to infect so many people.

Greek authorities arrest 61 illegal migrants following violence in Thessaloniki

Authorities in Greece have ramped up efforts to detain migrants living in the country without residence permits.

On Tuesday, authorities announced that 61 foreign nationals were arrested who had been living in the city of Thessaloniki illegally. The police operation was said to have occurred between 7 pm and midnight on Monday, with police detaining as many as 160 foreign nations, Ekathimerini reports.

Authorities told reporters that processes to begin deporting the migrants, who are mostly from Iraq, Algeria, Pakistan, and Iran, were already underway.

The sweep was part of a wider police crackdown which follows several violent clashes close to the main train station in Greece’s second-largest city.

Greek media has released video footage of the clashes which shows men fighting with knives and iron bars. At least four men were injured during the clashes, one of them with gunshot wounds.

Authorities say theyh also arrested 13 migrants at airports on the islands of Santorini and Kos. The arrests occurred after migrants with forged identification documents attempted to board planes to Central Europe and Italy.

21 additional arrests were made for similar offenses last week at smaller airports throughout the country, police confirmed.

Nikki Haley Eye-Rolls at Trump’s ‘Unnecessary’ Tweet About Cummings Burglary

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley responded directly to President Donald Trump’s tweet about Rep. Elijah Cummings’ (D-MD) home burglary, tweeting Friday the comment was “so unnecessary.”

Haley ripping her former boss comes after President Trump tweeted Friday morning: “Really bad news! The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!”

The break-in occurred prior to the president slamming Baltimore, Cummings’ district, as a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess.” He also ripped the House Oversight Committee chair for behaving like a “brutal bully” toward Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan and said the Democrat-run city is “far worse and more dangerous” than immigrant detention facilities.

In a statement Friday, Cummings said he scared off the alleged intruder at his home over the weekend, confirming that an individual “attempted to gain entry into my residence at approximately 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 27.”

“I was notified of the intrusion by my security system, and I scared the intruder away by yelling before the person gained entry into the residential portion of the house,” the longtime lawmaker said. “I thank the Baltimore Police Department for their response and ask that all further inquiries be directed to them.”

The Baltimore Police Department is currently investigating the incident.

Haley was an outspoken critic of President Trump during the 2016 presidential election, previously declaring that he represented “everything a governor doesn’t want in a president.”

“I want someone who is going to hold Republicans accountable, and I want someone who is going to make a difference, not just for our party but for every person they represent in the country,” Haley said ahead of the South Carolina Republican primary in February 2016.

She went on to endorse Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) unsuccessful bid for president.

Haley was elected governor of South Carolina in 2010. Despite her strong criticism of President Trump, the Republican served as the Trump administration’s U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. between January 2017-December 2018. Since exiting the administration, she has joined Boeing’s board of directors.

Last night investigative journalist John Solomon from The Hill told Sean Hannity that Western asset Joseph Mifsud has already testified and the Durham investigators have already obtained a taped deposition of his testimony.

Deep State operatives claimed for over two years that Joseph Mifsud was a Russian operative. It is clear now that this was a lie. Mifsud was a Western intelligence operative used by the US and other allies.

Any day now Inspector General Michael Horowitz is expected to release a report that will include damning information on James Comey.

Peter Thiel Slams Google for Sharing AI Technology with China

Tech billionaire and Donald Trump supporter Peter Thiel is stepping up his campaign against Google, taking the Silicon Valley giant to task over its cozy relationship with China in the realm of artificial intelligence technology.

In a scathing New York Times editorial on Friday, Thiel attacked Google for establishing an AI lab in Beijing in 2017 while ending its AI contract “Project Maven” with the Pentagon, after Google employees complained about the use of their research for defense purposes.

“Perhaps the most charitable word for these twin decisions would be to call them naive,” Thiel wrote in the New York Times.

“How can Google use the rhetoric of ‘borderless’ benefits to justify working with the country whose ‘Great Firewall’ has imposed a border on the internet itself? This way of thinking works only inside Google’s cosseted Northern California campus, quite distinct from the world outside.”

Thiel emphasized that Google’s close relationship with China poses national security risks, since Chinese law mandates that all research be shared with the People’s Liberation Army.

“A.I. is a military technology,” he wrote. “Though less uncanny than Frankenstein’s monster, these tools are nevertheless valuable to any army — to gain an intelligence advantage, for example, or to penetrate defenses in the relatively new theater of cyberwarfare.”

Thiel previously criticized Google in July, calling the company’s relationship with China “seemingly treasonous” during a speech at the National Conservatism conference in Washington.

President Donald Trump took note and later Tweeted that his administration would take a look into the matter.

Satanists Accepted as Religious Community in Sweden

In a bid to ditch common stereotypes involving blood sacrifices and orgies, Sweden's satanist community is paying tribute to social justice, a secular state, and embraces feminism. The Dark Lord himself is seen as a literary figure and a role model as an eternal rebel.

Despite the fact that the Church has always regarded Satan as the origin of evil and the foremost enemy of man, the Swedish Satanist community has been accepted as a religious denomination by the country's Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency, the newspaper Dagen reported.

In order to become a registered religious community in Sweden, you need to fulfil several requirements, such as arrange religious services, like prayers or meditation, and have a name that “doesn't contradict good customs or general order”. According to the authorities, the Satanists have ticked all the boxes.

The group is led by a married couple, Erik and Jenny Hedin from Stockholm. Both are scholars in the history of ideas and linguistics and admittedly have no background in other religious movements. According to their own data, they have about 100 followers. The movement was inspired by The Satanic Temple, an activist group from Massachusetts, US, who among other things have lobbied to abandon school prayers, not unlike Sweden's Humanist Society.

Despite having a name that suggests devil worship and to many ears rings of nocturnal rites and animal sacrifice, the Satanist community actually celebrates a scientific approach, a secular state and social justice. Even a cursory look at the community's Facebook page reveals a lot of talking points generally associated with left-wing or liberal debaters, such as LGBT issues, environmental protection and criticism of midwives who refuse to perform abortions. The community also distributed sanitary towels in a project called Menstruation with Satan. During Stockholm's Pride Week, the group organised a seminar on the need for Satanist feminism.

As for Satan himself, he is only seen as a “literary figure”, according to the society. While Satan is hailed as role model and “eternal rebel” who eternally gainsays the authorities, the group performs rituals such as “invocation of Lucifer and Lilith”. The focal point is to put the self at the centre of everything.

“Man is perfect as he is, we do not need to listen to others but can believe in ourselves. It is also about questioning arbitrary norms and authorities”, Jenny Hedin explained to Dagen.

So far, the formal recognition doesn't go beyond just that, and the satanists enjoy no government grants or rights to conduct marriage ceremonies. Nevertheless, such a step was inconceivable only some decades ago.

However, since the Church of Sweden was separated from the state in 2000, a push for a more equal treatment of other faith communities was initiated. In recent years, a plethora of religious societies have been registered in Sweden, from the Islamic fatwa agency to the Scientologists.

Saudi at the centre of Facebook misinformation scandal

Saudi Arabia is at the centre of a new scandal involving the use of Facebook to spread misinformation through fake campaigns promoted on the pages of the social media giant. Details uncovered by the Guardian show that the kingdom paid millions of pounds to a firm owned by Sir Lynton Crosby – a prominent right-wing political strategist – to improve the image of Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman.

Crosby’s firm CTF is a global leader dealing with everything from traditional lobbying to data science, reputation management for wealthy clients and political campaigning. He is often employed by tobacco companies and some of the planets’ worst polluters and despots to soften their public image. He has masterminded campaigns for right-wing political parties and is described as having run one of the most racist political campaigns in recent history while playing the role of key strategist for the Conservative candidate Zak Goldsmith who stood against the Labour candidate Sadiq Khan during the 2016 mayoral campaign.

In the latest scandal involving Facebook – which is not too dissimilar to the Cambridge Analytica story -, Saudi Arabia is reported to have employed CTF’s “professionalised online disinformation” strategies “to burnish the reputation of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman”. One of these campaigns was coordinated during Bin Salman’s tour of the UK in 2018. The Guardian reported that that CTF Partners earned millions of pounds to coordinate press coverage around the arrival of the crown prince prior to the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, over which he has been implicated by the UN and US intelligence.

Details of the Guardian’s investigation were released as Facebook announced that it had dismantled covert influence campaign tied to the Saudi government. The tech giant said that it had identified people connected to the government of Saudi Arabia running a network of fake accounts and pages on the social media platform to promote state propaganda and attack regional rivals. More than 350 accounts and pages with about 1.4 million followers were suspended.

Google temporarily banned from listening to voice recordings in the EU

Google must stop listening to voice recordings from people using its Assistant software in the European Union, German regulators said Thursday. The ban will last three months while Germany's data watchdog agency investigates privacy concerns.

The search giant's Assistant service, similar to Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri, lets people use their voice to turn on a light or get the morning's headlines through devices including a Google Home smart speaker, Android phone or iPhone. A small percentage of those voice recordings are heard by human workers at Google and third parties, with the goal of improving the software and better understanding people's queries, the company has said.

But those recordings could include sensitive and private information, not only from people using the device, but also from others in the same household, the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information said in a statement.

Last month, Google confirmed that third-party workers who analyze language data from the Assistant leaked private Dutch conversations. Belgian public broadcaster VRT NWS said more than 1,000 files had been leaked, including recordings from instances where users accidentally triggered Google's software.

"The use of language assistance systems must be done in a transparent way, so that an informed consent of the users is possible," Johannes Caspar, the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, said in a statement. "In particular, this involves providing sufficient information and transparently informing those affected about the processing of voice commands, but also about the frequency and risks of mal-activation."

Trump’s Message to U.S. Intelligence Officials: Be Loyal or Leave

This past Wednesday, during Robert Mueller’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Representative John Ratcliffe, a Republican from Texas who was previously a federal prosecutor, accused the former special counsel of illegally smearing President Trump. Ratcliffe demanded to know why Mueller had stated in Volume II of his report—which investigated whether the President had obstructed justice—that, “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” His voice rising, Ratcliffe said that the sentence “was not authorized under the law to be written” and violated a “bedrock principle of our justice system.” He urged Americans to ignore the “Democrats and socialists on the other side of the aisle” who cited it. Fact checkers found Ratcliffe’s claims to be false, but he ended his appearance with a dramatic flourish. “I agree with the chairman this morning when he said Donald Trump is not above the law. He’s not,” Ratcliffe said, his voice rising. “But he damn sure shouldn’t be below the law, which is where Volume II of this report puts him.”

In a Sunday-morning interview on Fox News, Ratcliffe again demonstrated his support for the President, declaring that “it was a great week for Donald Trump.” The congressman claimed that Mueller did “not have a command” of what was in the report, which, he said, had been written by “Hillary Clinton’s de-facto legal team.” He said that Trump deserved a presumption of innocence, then added, “What I do know, as a former federal prosecutor, is that it does appear that there were crimes committed during the Obama Administration.” Ratcliffe then praised an unprecedented review that Attorney General William Barr is conducting of the work of the F.B.I. and key intelligence agencies in the launch of the 2016 Trump-Russia investigation, saying, “Bill Barr has earned my trust already and the trust of the American people.”

Six hours later, Trump nominated Ratcliffe to be the most powerful intelligence official in the country, replacing Dan Coats, who is stepping down as the director of National Intelligence. Sources told the Times that Trump enjoyed watching Ratcliffe aggressively question Mueller, but denied that this was the reason the Texas congressman got the job. The Senate Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer, disagreed, issuing a statement that said, “It’s clear that Rep. Ratcliffe was selected because he exhibited blind loyalty to President Trump with his demagogic questioning of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller.”

Texas police rescue 9-year-old boy from human trafficker trying to sell him

Texas police officers rescued a 9-year-old boy who they say was kidnapped by a suspect allegedly looking to sell the child into human trafficking.

Authorities with the San Antonio Police Department's R.O.P.E. (Repeat Offenders Program) say the child was abducted in downtown San Antonio on Tuesday. Local authorities and Homeland Security were immediately notified, according to WOAI-TV.

Detectives followed several leads and were able to locate the 9-year-old in a parked car outside of an H-E-B supermarket around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

SAPD officers blocked the suspect's car in the parking lot and rescued the victim, who was reportedly not seriously injured.

An adult male, whose identity has not yet been released, was reportedly arrested and charged with kidnapping and human trafficking.

The National Human Trafficking Hotline says in 2018 it received reports of 10,949 suspected human trafficking cases. Among U.S. states, most were from California, with 1,656 reported cases, followed by Texas, with 1,000. Florida and New York had 767 and 492 reported cases, respectively.

Sex trafficking was the No. 1 reported type of trafficking, with 7,859 alleged cases. Labor trafficking, the second most reported, trailed behind at 1,249 reported cases.

Women were by far the most affected by the human trafficking epidemic, with 7,126 female victims compared to 1,137 male victims reported.

Still, many cases of human trafficking will never be reported. The Global Slavery Index 2018 estimates that on any given day in 2016 there were 403,000 people living in conditions of modern slavery in the United States, a prevalence of 1.3 victims of modern slavery for every thousand in the country.

Afghanistan Loses 42,000 Troops in Crackdown on 'Ghost Soldiers'

Attacks are increasing while the strength of Afghan security forces decreases. Schools are closing amid the violence, and no girls are being enrolled in many districts. Efforts to root out Afghan government corruption have either stalled, or never got off the ground.

The bleak description of Afghanistan's status nearly 18 years after the U.S. invaded following the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks came in the latest quarterly report to Congress released Thursday by the Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).

The 270-page report states that 6,445 enemy-initiated attacks, or EIAs, occurred between March 1 and May 31, a 9% increase over the previous quarter. More than half of the attacks were in five of Afghanistan's 34 provinces – Helmand, Badghis, Faryab, Herat and Farah.

At the same time, the number of Afghan troops and police on the books fell significantly, the report found, likely the result of the elimination of so-called "ghost" soldiers from the records.

Previous SIGAR reports have cited the practice by corrupt Afghan commanders of listing non-existent troops or police on their rosters to draw their salaries, which are paid by the U.S.

The report states that the number of Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANSDF), which includes both troops and police, fell by nearly 42,000 between March and May, compared to the same period last year.

It cites data from the U.S.-led coalition to attribute much of the decline to the ANSDF's switch to counting only troops validated as existing by biometrics, rather than relying on the numbers reported by field commanders.

"The change was part of an effort by the United States and its partners to reduce opportunities for corrupt ANSDF officials to report 'ghost' soldiers and police on personnel rolls in order to pocket the salaries," the report states.

The lengthy report paints an overall bleak picture of the prospects for Afghanistan in establishing a stable democracy and open society.

"The Afghan government cannot survive financially or militarily without continued external assistance, and with those donor funds comes the dual risk of losing money to corruption, as well as contributing to fostering corruption by distorting the economy," John Sopko, the head of SIGAR, said in a statement included in the report.

Jeffrey Epstein became an FBI INFORMANT to secure sweetheart deal and shut down federal probe into the pedophile's abuse of underage girls, government records reveal

Jeffrey Epstein managed to shut down a federal probe into his illicit and illegal activities with underage girls and secure his sweetheart plea deal by providing information' to the government, FBI reports confirm.

A federal investigation into the pedophile led by the FBI was closed out on September 18, 2008 when Epstein 'provided information to the FBI as agreed upon' according to the case agent.

That investigation had been underway for two years at that point, but it was noted in the final report that 'no prosecution will occur in this matter as long as Epstein continues to uphold his agreement with the State of Florida.'

The investigation had been dormant for seven months by then, with FBI records obtained by DailyMail.com showing that the lead agent had not filed a report since February 11 at the time he closed the case.

That February report notes that 'that the criminal investigation into activities of Jeffrey Epstein is ongoing,' and that the case agent had been told the matter was 'highly sensitive' by the United States Attorney's Office.

This was five months after Epstein signed his non-prosecution agreement, but four months before it would be presented in court during his sentencing on two charges related to solicitation of a minor.

Divided Senate Approves Huge Two-Year Military Budget

$2.78 trillion plan spends more on military than anything else

Passed last week in a 284-149 vote in the House, split heavily along party lines, the two-year compromise budget deal reached between President Trump and Democratic leadership has passed the Senate Thursday, 67-28.

The $2.78 trillion ($1.48 trillion military spending) measure lifts the cap on the size of the US debt. This is an increase over the already-passed NDAA for 2020, and military spending will now outpace the entire rest of discretionary spending.

Since the expansion of the debt amounts to spending more money that the government flat out doesn’t have, this legislation also authorizes the Treasury Department to issue more debt in the form of bonds to raise money to cover the difference.

This compromise being between Trump and the Democrats, the Senate bill passed heavily on Senate Democrats’ support, while the vote among Senate Republicans was 30-23, with many objecting to the growing debt.

Despite debt concerns, Republican hawks broadly voted in favor of this bill, because it was a spending increase, and as Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said that’s the “number one priority” for Republicans. Even then, a number of them were grousing about the fact that the spending on the military could’ve conceivably been even higher.

Montenegro: Israeli political consultant is suspect in pro-Kremlin coup attempt

Prosecutor says Aron Shaviv, former CIA officer and 4 ex-FBI agents under investigation for plotting to overthrow government during 2016 elections

The Montenegrin government has named Israeli political consultant Aron Shaviv as a suspect in the alleged 2016 plot to topple the Balkan country’s government and halt its bid to join NATO.

State Prosecutor Sasa Cadenovic said Wednesday that Shaviv was involved in planning to overthrow the government along with former CIA operative Joseph Assad and eight other foreigners.

Shaviv was the chief consultant for the pro-Russian party Democratic Front in the run-up to the October 2016 parliamentary elections. At the time, the opposition’s Democratic Front coalition was the main rival against then-prime minister Milo Djukanovic.

But Cadenovic said that Montenegrin authorities had since uncovered evidence that showed Shaviv and Assad were actively involved in the coup plot led by two Russian military intelligence officers, and were extending the purview of the investigation.

“During the investigation that was launched against Joseph Assad and eight others for creating a criminal organization and attempting terrorism, the prosecutors found evidence that Shaviv, a UK and Israeli citizen, also committed a crime. So we have ordered an extension of the investigation,” he said according to news site Balkan Insight.

Cadenovic said there was a money trail linking a Russian-linked company based in Prague to Shaviv and Assad. The prosecutor said the company, “whose CEO and representative are Russians,” transferred Shaviv 1.5 million euros from a Cypriot bank account between July and August 2016.

He said that as part of the expanded probe, Montenegrin law enforcement were also investigating former FBI agents Ladislao Karbaljos, John Joseph Paolo, Scot Rivas and Horhe Mijar in the expanded coup probe, according to Balkan Insight.

Shaviv, who worked for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party in the 2015 election campaign, has denied any involvement in the alleged efforts to overthrow Montenegro’s government. He has previously said that he hired Assad to conduct surveillance work in 2016 because he was being harassed by Montenegro’s security services due to his affiliation with the opposition.

FBI Goes Into Overdrive – Seeks Spy Tech to Monitor Social Media Feeds

The FBI is going into overdrive as Spygate unravels.

Thursday it was reported that Yahoo News obtained a new FBI document dated May 30, 2019 that warns ‘conspiracy theorists’ are the new domestic terrorism threats.

The document specifically called out ‘QAnon’ which is a belief that “Q” is a government official posting information on an online forum about Trump’s efforts to dismantle the Deep State.

“The FBI assesses these conspiracy theories very likely will emerge, spread, and evolve in the modern information marketplace, occasionally driving both groups and individual extremists to carry out criminal or violent acts,” the document states.

The document also claims the FBI believes conspiracy theory-driven extremists are likely to increase during the 2020 presidential election cycle.

Even worse, the FBI used far left websites such as Snopes and Wikipedia as sources for their junk report.

And now the FBI is seeking technology to spy on social media users.

The FBI is seeking to acquire access to a “social media early alerting tool” to proactively monitor terrorist groups and other domestic threats who use the social media platforms to network, according to a request for a proposal released this week by the FBI — The original proposal was dated July 8, however it was amended this week.

“With increased use of social media platforms by subjects of current FBI investigations and individuals that pose a threat to the United States, it is critical to obtain a service which will allow the FBI to identify relevant information from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other Social media platforms in a timely fashion,” the FBI said in its proposal. “Consequently, the FBI needs near real-time access to a full range of social media exchanges in order to obtain the most current information available in furtherance of its law enforcement and intelligence missions.”

“This PSPO’s public records contract is in response to an increasing number of threats to U.S. national interests that are identifiable, with ever-greater frequency, through social media platforms. It is an acknowledged fact that virtually every incident and subject of FBI investigative interest has a presence online. Consequently, law enforcement gaining lawful access (i.e., access that is authorized, appropriate, and consistent with applicable law and policy) to this data will result in early detection and/or containment of the magnitude of any harm caused by these threats,” the FBI wrote in its statement of objectives.
