It's probably already been said on here but the perfect choice for the DNI position at this stage of the movie would be Adm. Mike Rogers who served under Obama.

What better way then to re-enter the movie after leaving (publicly) right at the very beginning?

There's no real possibility his hearings or confirmation could be denied by the Dem's if he was qualified enough for Obama.

 

This seems almost too perfect of a set-up or plan.

He'd be the perfect one to finish what he might've started.

Michael S. Rogers (born October 31, 1959) is a former United States Navy admiral who served as the second commander of the U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM). He concurrently served as the 17th director of the National Security Agency (NSA) and as chief of the Central Security Service (CSS) from April 3, 2014.
