Kevin Spacey Reads Italian Poem With Some Interesting Lines: 'They Used Me for Their Entertainment'

Embattled actor Kevin Spacey made a random appearance at a museum in Italy, where he read a poem that seemed anything like a random choice.

Spacey was seen at the at Palazzo Massimo alle Terme (aka the National Roman Museum) where he performed in front of the "Boxer at Rest" statue. It was his first public appearance since sexual misconduct charges against the actor were dropped.

Inside, he performed Gabriele Tinti's poem "The Boxer," which is about a fighter at the end of his career.

"This is why you have dug me the grave," Spacey can be seen saying in a video posted by The Daily Beast. "You have opened it down there, far away. To conceal me. So as not to have problems and not have to see."

He then shouts, "Fools!"

Spacey continued, "You have to suck the heart of a hero as long as it beats, you out to know this. I shook the country, made the arenas vibrate, tore my opponents to shreds. I lit up the darkness, collected insults, compelled applause."

He can lastly be seen saying, "They used me for their entertainment, fed on shoddy stuff. Life was over in a moment."
