they forgot to adjust the transparency in the copy/paste
often there is a percentage of opaqueness
that must be adjusted to 100%
or there will be a shadow of the background in the pasted addition
also:
another clue is areas where there is large spots of the same color
this picture has his neck area as really large blank area
normally there will be an entire pallet of shades
