I don't see God faulting someone for believing in a religion. I just don't think religion is necessary, and most are rather deceptive and pointless.
My point, personally, (not sure about the guy who filtered you) was that you do not need religion to find and have God in your life. I would be inclined to think religion would actually put a bigger divide than it would connection, as you tend to serve their needs, wants, etc in the name of God, which is utter BS.
