First Amendment Audit of El Paso, Texas

seems the city has something of a bad record of public service

This video is a recent report

and the discussion is that the bad reputation of El Paso is well-known

These border towns don't do well on audits.

San Antonio is another one suspected of corruption.

What is a "First Amendment Audit" ?

It is a person with a camera taking pictures from a public space

all lawful activities

(the auditor often carries a copy of applicable law on him/her)

and sees how the police conduct themselves.

Do the police follow law or create their own law ?

Do they play obedience games, or respect the civil rights of people ?

Do they escalate a situation in order to get an ID from them ?

A person must be suspected of a crime before requiring identification.

There are many applicable laws that come into play

both with private security and official police offices.

Private security has no business interrupting any legal act done on public property

they cannot command anyone to do anything.

They should not leave private property in order to harass anyone.

Anyway, audits often reveal who is needing to HIDE SOMETHING

and it is sometimes…. the police who are the law breakers.

Most problems stem from BAD TRAINING.

A policeman can either become a YT star

or a YT tyrant

and if they really know their job ? not be seen at all.
