IIRC he had actually gotten back in his car and was driving away, so he would have been wearing his glasses, one would think. So good question. If he was wearing them and they fell off during arrest, LE would retrieve them. Suspect has to be able to see (would be some sort of rights violation to keep them from him - prob can't read without them) and LE are a bit sensitive to stuff like that (even though he's (((white))) ) they don't want to fuck up an arrest or cause more hassle to their dept..
