This theory is incredibly flawed. It does not take into account any of the major catastrophes that shaped the land to begin with. These theories are definitely not "settled science". However, they are taught to the kids as if they were absolute facts. Without ever mentioning the opposing views from the scientific community, as there were many field geologists of the 19th century who supported the claims of catastrophic events playing a major role in shaping the land as well as the life that lived on Earth…
