Hope I am not interrupting. See through mags like the one pictured are clear or a slightly sand or greenish tint depending on the material used. The super clear ones sometimes fade to a brownish green if exposed to UV (carrying muh weapon and muh magazine in the sun for a long periods of time).

Not sure anon. First thought was a dust cover. Mine were black but there are different colors available. Why the fuck someone would have their dust cover on when he is about to start slinging lead I have no idea. It is a possibility though. As strange as it may seem.

Alternatively. If this was staged, it would make sense that the alleged shooter were walking around with an AK that had a red dust cap on. If the premise is that they are just actors and this is crisis response how do you get someone to hold a weapon under the guise that this is just a drill? Make the weapon seem real but put a red dust cap so the actors thing that safety measures are in place and this all isn't real.
Far fetched? Maybe… but could explain the dust cover.
