A thought occurs;

The state fairs will be happening soon. While that's not a huge gathering in some states, in places like Texas and Iowa they are huge events. Big name music concerts will draw 10's of thousands of people. At the Iowa fair, the caucus candidates will be circulating and mingling with the crowd for votes.

If the DS will kill and maim ordinary citizens, it's not a stretch to think they may try a public assassination attempt on one of the lessor standing, but gun opposing candidates. A name brand Dem cut down by crazed white supremacist red necks would, in their minds play to their advantage. My guess is the target would be one of the moderates. It's just a hunch, but the State Fairs are ready made mass shooting venues.
