IF YOU ARE A WOMAN OF COLOR / MUSLIM … YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. I was turned away from this bar because I had a really cute scarf on my head. I was told by the bouncer that they don't advocate for that type of religion and he doesn't like du-rags. It wasn't a du-rag and I'm not Muslim. I am a black woman who had her hair twisted up underneath a really cute scarf. So, if you're a woman of color a someone who likes to wear scarfs on their head (kind of like a really cute up-do), you aren't welcome here. If you're Muslim, you're not welcome here either way. Let's take our money somewhere else and support a Dayton establishment that isn't racist, islamophobic oe xenophobic. I asked Newcomes (which is literally a 2 second walk from Ned's) how they feel about my head wrap and they said they had no problem and weren't surprised Ned's turned me away. That means this in an ongoing problem. It shouldn't be this way. If you made it this far reading the review, I encourage you to take your money to Newcomes or any other place that isn't Ned's. If anyone knows the short, stubby bouncer at Ned's please educate him. Thanks guys!'
