The only other way I can think that Q would be able to re-establish his identity here without migrating PF and posting trips as CM suggests would be to have BO open up all tripcodes after the maintenance, and then allow Q to establish new tripcode while posting additional (never-before-seen) images from past series, as they did previously to establish their identity.

Potential for fuckery is higher that way though. I'd much prefer to see PF migrated (at least use it to establish a new trip, then Q can delete after that and go build a new board, or not).

Relying on 8kun’s trip code system seems pretty flimsy at best. It requires trust in 8kun. Nothing is stopping them from hardcoding a post to Q’s trip code and pretending to be Q. I am honestly surprised the C_A has not tried to exploit that yet.

Using PGP makes a lot of sense to me since anyone can verify the posts without needing to depend on a third party. There must be some reason Q does not want to do this. Maybe there is a weakness in DSA that Q knows about. It is especially curious since DSA was invented BY THE NSA.
