Roe is based on “personhood,” a legal status rather than scientific. Per biology, a fetus is human. Stripping personhood from a human is the means to protect the political power of the more politically powerful, by stripping the nonperson of the protection of barest minimum of human rights. In this case, they don’t even get due process before someone with a competing interest may arbitrarily kill them/have them killed based on an utterly arbitrary standard. Barbaric. No right of appeal. At the least, these helpless humans should be given a guardian ad litem to speak for them and allow a court to weigh the competing interests.
