HUNDREDS of fake driver’s licenses were intercepted by the US Border Patrol at a Louisville mail facility.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents from the Chicago Field Office intercepted a parcel in Louisville that contained hundreds of fake driver’s licenses.

A tweet by the CPB Chicago states the fraudulent ID’s were found at the Louisville mail facility.

In all, the package contained 238 fake driver’s licenses and 536 black card stocks.

Supreme Court: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Released from Hospital

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court says Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been released from a Baltimore hospital where she had been treated for a possible infection.

The 86-year-old Ginsburg has returned to her home in Washington, D.C., and is “doing well,” court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said Sunday.

Ginsburg spent two nights at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She was taken there Friday after experiencing chills and fever.

The court says she received intravenous antibiotics and fluids and that her symptoms abated.

Ginsburg has had four occurrences of cancer, including two in the past year. She had lung cancer surgery in December and received radiation treatment for a tumor on her pancreas in August.

She had a rare absence from a public session of the court in mid-November because of what the court said was a stomach bug. She was back on the bench the next time the justices met.

Her latest hospital stay began Friday, after the justices met in private to discuss pending cases.

She was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington before being transferred to Johns Hopkins for further evaluation and treatment of any possible infection.

Ginsburg has been on the court since 1993, appointed by President Bill Clinton. Only Justice Clarence Thomas has served longer among the current members of the court.

Video: New Mexican Police Chief Resigns After Surviving Fierce Cartel Attack

A newly appointed municipal police chief in central Mexico resigned this week after surviving a fierce attack by cartel gunmen while traveling in an armored patrol vehicle. The attack took place two weeks ago and left two of the chief’s bodyguards wounded. His armored truck sustained more than 100 bullet strikes.

Celaya, Guanajuato, Police Chief José Carlos Ramos-Ramos turned in his resignation this past Friday — just 21 days after being named the Police Director of Celaya, according to a local media report. The departure from his newly appointed post comes one week after he survived a fierce attack by cartel hitmen while traveling as part of a two-vehicle convoy on the Celaya-Salamanca highway on November 15.

According to local media reports, Chief Ramos-Ramos was traveling in a two-vehicle convoy with his assigned bodyguards and at least one member of the Guardia National (National Guard). While traveling on the highway, a truck occupied by numerous cartel operatives intercepted the chief’s convoy and directed intense rifle fire, specifically at the director’s vehicle. The bodyguards reportedly sprung to action and repelled the attack by returning gunfire at the shooters. A cell phone video (above) released on social media captured intense audio of the attack.

After the chief’s security personnel repelled the attack, security elements from the state, municipal police, and the Mexican army responded to the area. Investigators from the state attorney general’s office processed the crime scene the night of the November 15 attack and recovered over 480 spent .223 caliber shell casing and ten spent .50 caliber shell casings. Officials from the state attorney general’s office also reported that the cartel hitmen were also armed with a grenade launcher and grenades. Both chief’s bodyguards were wounded during the attack — one severely.

Chief Ramos-Ramos previously served as Chief of Police in the municipality of Leon, Guanajuato, but resigned in July of this year after receiving numerous credible death threats, according to a Breitbart law enforcement source.

The city of Celaya, as along with the rest of the state of Guanajuato, has been the location of a bitter turf war between organized crime drug and fuel theft gangs. The city of Celaya registered 103 homicides during October, with 11 coming in one single day, early in the month, according to local media reports.

Submarine With 3 Tonnes of Cocaine on Board Seized in Spain

MADRID (Sputnik) - Spanish law enforcement agencies have seized a submarine with 3 tonnes of cocaine on board near the coast of the autonomous community of Galicia, the country's media reported on Sunday.

According to the LaSexta TV channel, the 20-meter-long submarine, which arrived from South America, was spotted near the coast of Pontevedra province.

Two of crew members were detained. During the police operation, the crew reportedly attempted to sink the vessel. Now, law enforcement agencies are trying to lift it to the surface, Spanish government representative in Galicia Javier Losada told the Galician radio. The situation is complicated by bad weather conditions.

Another suspect is supposedly at large. Police do not rule out that the crew has managed to get rid of part of the cargo.

According to the Pais newspaper, the vessel came from Colombia, while those detained are Ecuadorian nationals.

The La Voz de Galicia newspaper, in turn, reported that the vessel had arrived from Portugal.

In Apparent Trade War Compromise, China Issues Guidelines For IP Theft

The general offices of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council published a new report Sunday titled "The Guideline on Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights Protection," which states the government will increase fines on violations of intellectual property rights (IPR) in an effort to satisfy the US for the possible signing of a 'Phase One' US/China trade deal. Though last week's trade headlines suggest, both countries are still far apart from an actual agreement that might not be signed until next year.

"Strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights is the most important content to improve the system of property rights protection and the biggest incentive to improve China's economic competitiveness. In order to implement the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening intellectual property protection, and further improve the system and optimize the mechanism, the following opinions are proposed," the report said.

The report said the CPC would strengthen protections through both the civil and criminal justice systems and the implementation of stricter fines.

The thresholds for someone violating IPR laws will be lowered, but there were limited details that specified where the bar would be set.

By 2022, China wants to stomp out IPR infringement:

"Strive to achieve effective containment of infringement and prostitution in 2022, and the situation of rights holders' rights protection is difficult to prove, long cycle, high cost and low compensation. By 2025, the social satisfaction of intellectual property protection will reach and maintain a high level, the protection capacity will be effectively improved, the protection system will be more perfect, the business environment that respects the value of knowledge will be more optimized, and the basic guarantee function of the intellectual property system to stimulate innovation will be more effectively played," the report said.

China will also strive towards increasing punishment for infringements and counterfeiting, along with improving international cooperation in IPR protection.

Though these are just guidelines at the moment, the larger question is, how does China enforce IPR rules?
