The pistol displayed here commemorating Arvo Ojala is actually a relevent symbol of the Q movement and much more. Throughout most of America's history firearms were important both as tools and as symbols of American independence and fierce loyalty to our freedoms.

Being quick and accurate with firearms has been a staple element of our uniquely American culture since its founding. Tales of frontiersmen and women using firearms on both sides of the law have fascinated generations around the world.

Daniel Boone, Davey Crockett, Bill Hickock, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Billy the Kid, Butch Cassidy and dozens of other gunmen helped sell millions of "pulp" novels and pamphlets. It didn't much matter which side of the law you were on as long as your exploits with a gun were sufficiently dramatic enough to catch the attention of readers.

After the "taming" of the frontier it fell largely to the lawless to keep guns in the public eye. John Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonny and Clyde, Machine Gun Kelly and all of the gangs during prohibition.

Juxtaposed with that were the tales of heroism with firearms in the hands of the righteous. Bill Dixon, Sgt Alvin York, Audie Murphy, Carlos Hathcock, Chris Kyle all captured the public's fascination with firearms used in defense of freedom.

"Westerns", movies about the old west almost universally were morality plays between the "good guys" and the "bad guys", and it was prowess with the gun that generally allowed the "good guys" to triumph (and win the girl).

Another huge part of our culture bound up with firearms are the professional shooters. They were an integral part of defining our culture in which we expect Good to prevail over evil.

Bill Hickock, Annie Oakley, Ed McGivern, Herb Parsons, Arvo Ojala, Thell Reid, Col. Jeff Cooper, Col. Charles Askins, Bill Weaver, Bob Munden, Jerry Miculec, Rob Leatham and many others contributed greatly to American's perception of guns in the right hands being a good thing.

The Q movement about restoring the rights of the people could not, and would not exist without the deterrent of hundreds of millions of firearms in the hands of freedom loving and law abiding citizens of America. It is the firearms that ensure our freedom and safety. The evil of gun control knows no moral limits. Those that would enslave the world cannot abide the American gun owner, and will stop at nothing to remove our God Given Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Q is helping us keep that right.
