8kun was unreachable for a period of time and I assumed it was CM's '>There is a scheduled salt rotation for this coming Monday@8pm est. This is a routine procedure; when it happens, bans are reset, post histories start fresh, and secure tripcodes change.
but the salts have not changed…

1st changing the salt has nothing to do with whether or not tripcodes can be used on a board

the whitelist enables the BO to allow only certain trips… with Q's trip being uncertain due to the routine salt rotation that didn't go as planned because the salt has NOT changed
so right now anyone can trip
once Q has established a new tripcode the BO will add the new tripcode to the whitelist, remove Q's old trip and re-enable the whitelist and
