More on SES

 

After reading multiple articles regarding SES, I think that the director of OPM (Office of Personnel Management) can terminate employment of some of the SES employees. The only ones that seem nearly exempt is the Career Appointed SES people. In the case of career appointments if fired (for reasons shown below in graphic), the individual can appeal termination to the MSPB (Merit System Protection Board). The MSPB is a quasi-government board. Thee are any criticisms of MSPB. (graphic below)

 

The other SES positions (other than Presidential Appointees) are under the oversight of the OPM.

 

On March 8, 2018, a new director for the OPM was FINALLY approved by Congress. Per Wikipedia, Jeff Pon was nominated by POTUS with thought that perhaps he will help to 'Drain The Swamp'.
