Despite staunch resistance from Democrats to the current Republican resident of the White House, they have nevertheless found much that they like with the agreement, and Canada’s Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, of the Liberal Party, who was Canada’s chief negotiator on the agreement, has enthusiastically described it as a “very progressive agreement.”"
