The FBI can't acknowledge an investigation until it is concluded, so the MSM wouldn't be able to verify it unless it was leaked, and it'd be anonymous so it'd still be questioned.
I look at it like this. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Even this wasn't convincing. Connecting it to pizzagate and birthers is actually going to redpill more than it will make people ignore it. They're stupid.
