If POTUS is the savvy, brilliant man many of us believe him to be, then it makes sense (to me) that he would have pulled all of the rats close to him (and it is yet to be proven Rudy is a rat), and then he would expose them one by one. It would be way easier to neutralize 'friends' who would never see it coming than take them out as enemies who know they're in his sights as targets. Just a thought. But there does seem to be a pattern of him hiring 'dirty' folks, allowing them to a how their true colors and then telling them 'You're fired!'.
