It couldn't be more dignified than to have a tree grow out of my ass after I'm dead. Beats having my ashes scattered over the Grand Canyon or whatever.
If you're worried about contamination, what about all the other corpses that we are surrounded with and never even recognize.
How many birds, squirrels, dear, cats, fish, etc…are dead and decaying as we speak, but yet you have no concern about that.
But all of sudden the idea of using humans as a source of nutrition for plants, ants, and worms is somehow abhorrent?

Ain't nothing Hippie about the philosophy, it just makes sense. Death only matters to the living, Funerals aren't for the dead…funerals are for the living. Get over your programmed selves and think logically.
Ain't anybody going to get cholera from a tree that's growing out of composted material that includes animal remains (which is what humans are technically…animals).
What's so dignified about draining all the fluids out of a corpse and injecting the stiff up with chemicals and then combing their hair, putting on makeup, dressing them up in nice dresses and suits; and parading them in front of balling friends and relatives? And then wasting a big plot of land and burying a box in the ground to do nothing, but be of value to grave robbers?
