Average Adult Spends Nearly 80,000 Hours of Their Life Watching TV – Study

A recent survey of 2,000 British adults reveals that the average person watches 78,705 hours of TV during their lifetime.

The survey, which was commissioned by LG Electronics, also found that the average adult watches about 3.5 hours of TV a day, which is about 1,248 hours every year. The survey even went so far as to break down the type of media consumed. The average adult usually watches 3,639 movies at home and around 31,507 TV episodes throughout their life.

The average viewer also watches around 11,278 different TV series throughout their life. Six out of every 10 respondents said that they would be lost without owning a TV.

However, deciding what to watch can be a contentious issue for families. The average adult will spend a staggering 2,943 hours in their life just trying to decide what to watch, researchers determined.

Around 15% of respondents said that having too many viewing options – from traditional cable to streaming services – can be frustrating.

The study further found that the average household has about two arguments weekly over what to put on. More than 50% of all those surveyed said that their household would find it very difficult to manage with only one TV for everyone to share.

In fact, the research revealed that the average household has at least two TV sets, which are typically replaced with newer models every six years. Around 25% of study participants said that an outdated TV affects their viewing experience. The most common TV annoyances among participants included sound quality, glares and people talking or asking questions while a program is playing.

But before you go out and buy another television to squash the family drama over what the night’s showing will be, think twice about which TV to purchase – especially if you’re considering a smart TV. Per a recent FBI notice, trendy new smart TVs could allow hackers to peep on consumers while they’re going about their days.

Is Apple tracking you? iPhone 11 can monitor your location at all times even if you opt out - and the company KNOWS it's happening

iPhone 11 Pro running on iOS 13.2.3 found to tracker users even if they block it

Apple's policy says it sends locations of nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers (where supported by a device) in an anonymous and encrypted form to Apple

However, users have been told that they can opt-out of the firm collecting data

Apple told the researcher that this is 'expected behavior' of the technology

Your iPhone 11 may be tracking your every move, even if you blocked it from doing so, a new report reveals.

A security researcher found that Apple's latest smartphone periodically seeks the user's location even when all applications and system services are set to never request.

The Cupertino company, however, is aware the handset collects location data and said it is 'expected behavior'.

The discovery was made by Brian Krebs of KrebsonSecuirty, a source that conducts in-depth investigations into security issues, who found the issue occurs with the iPhone 11 Pro running on Apple iOS 13.2.3.

A security researcher found that Apple's iPhone 11 (pictured) periodically seeks the user's location even when all applications and system services are set to never request.

The tech giant's privacy policy states that it 'will periodically send the geo-tagged locations of nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers (where supported by a device) in an anonymous and encrypted form to Apple, to be used for augmenting this crowd-sourced database of Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations'.

Apple's privacy policy regarding the iPhone 11's Location Service states that users can disable all location services with just a single swipe in Settings.

If the option is left on, 'your iPhone will periodically send the geo-tagged locations of nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers (where supported by a device) in an anonymous and encrypted form to Apple, to be used for augmenting this crowd-sourced database of Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations'.

However, Krebs claims that users are not able to turn off location tracker for certain services when using the iPhone 11 Pro - even if they toggle shows it is blocked.

Ukraine Fires Prosecutor Investigating Burisma — Transfers Cases Over to Soros-Run NABU Group Linked to Whistleblower Ciaramella

According to Russian and Ukrainian media Ukrainian prosecutor Konstantin Kulik was fired from investigating the Burisma case and the Biden crime family.

CD Media reported on Wednesday that Ukraine has transferred the responsibility of the investigation to the Soros-controlled National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) the same group that worked to assist the Hillary Clinton Campaign in 2016.

NABU officials met with alleged “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella in the White House in 2016.

What a clusterfark.

CD Media reported:

Ukraine has fired the prosecutor investigating cases involving Hunter Biden and Burisma and has transferred responsibility to the Soros-controlled ‘National Anti-Corruption Bureau’ (NABU) for disposal. This is the same NABU led by Artem Sytnyk who was caught on tape bragging about helping the Clinton campaign in its effort to discredit Donald Trump during the 2016 election.

Konstantin Kulik was fired from the General Prosecutor’s Office on November 22 due to corruption charges against him. Sources for CD Media describe the firing as being political in nature, as a way to ‘tidy up’ any loose ends regarding Biden and Burisma, to keep the information from the public eye during the ‘impeachment’ campaign in the United States. They describe Victor Trepak (New Deputy General Prosecutor), Deputy Prosecutor General Vitaly Kasko, and Sytnyk as being under the control of the George Soros/Deep State infrastructure in-country. Trepak was involved in the infamous ‘black ledger’ in the Manafort affair, which is now considered to be fake.

The State Bureau of Investigation may be headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Trepak it was reported by “Ukrainian Truth” with reference to sources, reported Ukrainian news outlet GordonUA.com.

“Soros and the Democrats appointed their agents of influence to the General Prosecutor’s Office (Kasko and Trepak). They put Sytnik in NABU and Kholodnitsky in SAP (Special Prosecutor) in order to destroy the evidence of corruption of the Democrats in Ukraine and to continue the process of the country’s rape with impunity. They are corruption. If they put Trepak, the author of the ‘black ledger’, as the head of the State Bureau of Investigation, then the process of covering up their crimes will be completed,” declared a confidential intelligence source in Ukraine.

Trump was right.

Maybe the best idea is NOT to donate US taxpayer money to corrupt regimes?

GM to lay off 800 workers at Detroit-Hamtramck

General Motors will lay off 814 hourly and salaried workers at its Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant starting Feb. 28. The workers will be relocated and the plant will be retooled for a new line of electric vehicles to start production in 2021.

The automaker provided notice of the layoffs Tuesday in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act filing with the state.

The UAW workers affected, about 753, will remain employed and be offered buyouts or jobs at other GM facilities, said GM spokesman Dan Flores.

"As previously announced, production of the Chevrolet Impala and Cadillac CT6 at Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly will be complete in early 2020," said Flores. "We have job opportunities for all D-Ham team members covered by the UAW-GM National Agreement. We expect to have opportunities in Michigan and Ohio."

Flores said GM will have more specific details after it finishes a buyout program at the plant. GM will begin making the job offers to Detroit-Hamtramck employees beginning in January, when Cadillac CT6 sedan production will be completed. Impala production will continue through Feb. 28.

About 31 hourly and three salaried workers will be laid off effective March 20, with two hourly employees to be laid off March 27 and another two hourly workers laid off April 3, the WARN letter stated.

In November 2018, GM had slated Detroit-Hamtramck, which was home of the once-revolutionary Chevrolet Volt electric car, to be one of four U.S. plants it planned to close. But the 4 million-square-foot plant, which straddles the border of Detroit and Hamtramck, was not idled before about 46,000 GM UAW members went on a 40-day strike starting in mid-September. It was still operating on an extension to produce the CT6 and Impala.

In the new four-year contract with the UAW, GM said Detroit-Hamtramck would remain open to produce an electric pickup and a "van," which people familiar with the plans said is a generic term for a variety of body styles including SUVs. The company pledged to invest $3 billion in the plant and said it will eventually employ 2,225 people.

GM plans to build the new group of premium electric vehicles at Detroit-Hamtramck beginning in late 2021, said a person familiar with the plans. That includes possibly reviving the long-gone Hummer brand, the person said.

The electric truck program is dubbed BT1, according to Reuters.

GM promised a broad $7.7 billion investment in its U.S. plants over the next four years under the new labor deal ratified in October.

? Q

Surely we are going to have to start dumping TRUTH before the big 10 December Tech purge begins???

Wondering if your recent post meant it's not going to be the 9th as per LG's statement?

Anons, why would we provide the date of the FISA release?

Logical thinking.

Ammunition is finite.

DA: School Cop Raped 12-Year-Old Multiple Times & Filmed It, Gave Her Money For Candy Bar After Crime

HOUSTON, Texas — A former Cypress-Fairbanks ISD police officer is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a 12-year-old girl from Deer Park last year.

Jorge Luis Bastida, 23, pleaded guilty last month to one charge of sexual assault of a child under the age of 14 for having sex with a girl he met online.

“He swore an oath to protect children,” said Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg. “He promised to protect and serve one of our most vulnerable populations and instead, he exploited and violated a young girl. He stole her childhood.”

The plea deal ensures that Bastida admits his guilt and takes responsibility, Ogg noted. It also means the young girl will not be victimized again by having to take the witness stand to testify against her attacker.

After Bastida met the girl on the “Meet Me” app, he sent an Uber to pick her up in Deer Park and take her to Cypress on October 1, 2018. He then took her to a motel in the 10000 block of Huffmeister Road. He raped her multiple times even though the girl told him he did not want to have sex, the DA said. He also reportedly filmed the criminal acts.

The next morning, the girl said, he gave her money for a candy bar before leaving the motel for work.

“We count on people to protect us and our children, especially at school, and something like this is an absolute abuse of that trust,” said Assistant District Attorney Kaitlin Kaufmann, who prosecuted the case. “He should be held to the exact same standard, if not a higher standard, as what he holds other people to on a daily basis.”

Kaufmann credited the Deer Park police department with conducting a thorough investigation that included taking DNA samples and electronic tracking. After the girl was reported missing, officers were able to search her iPad and found the dating site, and messages from someone named “Jay.”

Around 11:30 a.m. on the day after she disappeared, the girl called her mother from the motel. Police picked her up she told them about “Jay.”

She was transported to the hospital, where medical experts said her injuries were consistent with a sexual assault. They were later able to link the man’s profile to Bastida. Surveillance video at the motel also showed Batista and the girl walking to the room.

NY Mob Boss Convicted Of Racketeering, Extortion In Federal Court

Framnk Giovinco was convicted yesterday of conspiring to commit extortion and racketeering offenses with members and associates of the Genovese Crime Family of La Cosa Nostra following a six-day jury trial before U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff. The jury found the defendant responsible for acts involving extortion, honest services fraud, and unlawful kickback payments related to the Genovese Crime Family’s control of two local chapters of a labor union.

U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said: “For years, Frank Giovinco, as a member of the Genovese Crime Family, instilled fear in victims and propagated kickback schemes to tighten the Family’s stranglehold over two labor unions. Now, a jury has held Giovinco accountable for his crimes.”

According to the Indictment, documents previously filed in the case, and evidence introduced at trial:

La Cosa Nostra, also known as the “Mob” or the “Mafia,” operates through entities known as “Families.” The largest of the families operating in the New York City area is the Genovese Crime Family. In the early 1990s, Giovinco was inserted by the Genovese Crime Family into a scheme to control the waste carting industry in New York City, and as far back as the late-1990s, Giovinco was a member of the Genovese Crime Family.

In more recent years, and continuing until 2017, Giovinco conspired with other members and associates of the Genovese Crime Family to commit a wide range of crimes to enrich themselves and the Genovese Crime Family, including multiple acts of extortion, honest services fraud, and bribery. Giovinco’s activity for the Genovese Crime Family was centered on two local chapters (the “Unions”) of a labor union. Giovinco participated in a host of schemes designed to manipulate and siphon money from the Unions for the benefit of the Genovese Crime Family. Among other things, Giovinco extorted a financial adviser (the “Adviser”) and a labor union official (“Official-1”) for a cut of commissions made from union investments. Audio recordings captured Giovinco planning to “rattle the cage” of a victim, and to have another victim’s “feet held to the fire.” When Official-1 failed to pay the commissions demanded by Giovinco and other members of the Genovese Crime Family, Official-1’s life was threatened by Giovinco and his co-conspirators. Giovinco further plotted to profit from union investments by paying kickbacks to Official-1 and others, in exchange for a cut of future commissions. Giovinco also participated in the long-running extortion of a union president (“Official-2”) for annual tribute payments of more than $10,000, and sought a job at the union for the purpose of exerting control over Official-1 on the Genovese Crime Family’s behalf, and threatening to replace Official-1.
