The Dems have been working on this play since December 2018. At that time Psychiatrist Dr. Bandy X. Lee briefed a dozen members of Congress — Democrats and one Republican — on the president’s mental state. That's where the groundwork was laid I imagine, and I'm sure it was supposed to tie into RR and wearing a wire with a "leaked tape" of Trump.
Even though the RR plan went haywire (I assume), I guess they still charging ahead.
Other shrinks calling for impeachment at the same time as Dr. Brandy Lee are Judith Herman at Harvard and Robert Jay Lifton at Columbia.
