Lawsuit Targets Intelligence Community Watchdog’s Communications

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has refused to release an eight-hour closed-door interview transcript with Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, but a new lawsuit could help shed light on Atkinson’s involvement in the origins of the ongoing House impeachment inquiry—and much more.

Atkinson received a complaint from a mysterious whistleblower in August that served as the basis for impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. Atkinson’s actions in bringing the complaint forward have raised questions, and conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch is suing for his unclassified communications.

Judicial Watch announced a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Justice on Dec. 3, seeking all of Atkinson’s communications relating to Trump and emails and text messages with Schiff and his staff. The suit also seeks communications referencing Hillary Clinton, Anthony Weiner, the 25th Amendment, and impeachment.

Watergate has nothing on this presently growing “Spygate” scandal.

We’re all about to watch the amazing spectacle of key Spygate plotters commenting on their own scandal’s developments as analysts and commentators on network news show panels.

ABC News didn’t have John Dean, G. Gordon Liddy, nor John Mitchell on a nightly panel discussing the day’s Watergate news. NBC will have John Brennan and Andrew Weismann, CNN will have Andrew McCabe and James Clapper, all of them hired and deliberately given a platform from which to spin attacks against Spygate investigators.

But will this massive spin machine assembled by the fake news media accomplish the task for which it has been created?

US Charges Russians Over Hacking Attacks, Offers $5M Reward

The United States of America, through its Departments of Justice and State, and the United Kingdom, through its National Crime Agency (NCA), today announced the unsealing of criminal charges in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Lincoln, Nebraska, against Maksim V. Yakubets, aka online moniker, “aqua,” 32, of Moscow, Russia, related to two separate international computer hacking and bank fraud schemes spanning from May 2009 to the present. A second individual, Igor Turashev, 38, from Yoshkar-Ola, Russia, was also indicted in Pittsburgh for his role related to the “Bugat” malware conspiracy. The State Department, in partnership with the FBI, announced today a reward of up to $5 million under the Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Yakubets. This represents the largest such reward offer for a cyber criminal to date.

Pennsylvania Democrat charged with stealing more than $500,000 from mental illness charity

A Pennsylvania state representative is accused of taking money from her own nonprofit and spending it on luxury expenses.

Democratic Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell, who founded Motivations Education & Consultation Associates, allegedly diverted Medicaid and Social Security disability funds from the nonprofit and spent them on designer clothing, vacations, luxury car payments, real estate purchases, and other personal expenses, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced in a press release on Wednesday.

The nonprofit was created by Johnson-Harrell, who was the first Muslim woman to serve in the House, in order to help people suffering from intellectual disabilities, chronic mental illness, and substance abuse issues. It also benefited the homeless, children, and elderly people.

Despite Common Core Promises, U.S. Kids Repeat Poor Performance On Latest Global Test

Add another set of test results to the stack deflating promises U.S. leaders said justified the major arm-twisting required to switch the nation to Common Core. On Tuesday, the latest results from a respected international test showed U.S. students making no progress in math or reading since the last such exam three years ago.

This trend of no improvement on math and reading has persisted since the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) began in 2000, although U.S. kids have improved in science on the exam, which is given to 15-year-olds. Common Core, a set of national curriculum, testing, and instruction mandates the Obama administration pressured states into beginning in 2009, dictates reading and math instruction, not science.

American kids were, predictably, the worst at math. In the latest results, just 8 percent of U.S. 15-year-olds rated of excellent proficiency in math, and 27 percent rated of poor proficiency. Both of these results were below the average of comparable students’ performance developed nations.
