>Jentezen basically tells the congregation to leave guilt behind forever, and proceed boldly in your walk with God. This is something that makes 98% of Christians "cringe"
I think you're pretty high on your cringe percentage. Not leaving guilt behind is an insult to God, from my perspective, as it is an attitude indicative of not believing Jesus' sacrifice to have been sufficient/adequate to finish/complete its sole/soul objective.
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9
Salvation is not a result of our own good works, about which we might boast. If good works could do the job, Jesus came and died in vain.
As far as prosperity goes, I'll not dive into that, but the bible is loaded with defense for such. I think it sets a dangerous trap that many fall into, but I see no evidence that God prefers His people poor:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven's Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in!
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Poor people don't leave inheritance for their children AND their children's children.
But along the lines of what you're saying, yes, I'm prepared for some of my doctrine to be VERY wrong, in part, at least, because I think there are all sorts of words in the Bible (and in our every day lives) that we THINK we know the meanings of…and we are CLUELESS as to their real/deeper meanings.
