Apparently God cared.

Sent angels and Heaven sung to lowly shepherds in the fields. People of high importance trekk'd hunnerds of miles to bring expensive gifts to a baby they'd never met and weren't even sure existed.

Seems like a thing.

No insult here, but I view the Santa hoax as a valuable multi-tiered lesson to kids. Simultaneously when the hoax is revealed, they are introduced (if properly guided) to new thoughts. 1) Parents love even when you can't see it; 2) anonymous gifts are a magical feeling; 3) The world may mislead you (not always for bad) and discovery of the truth, while possibly disappointing, is part of growing up.

Lots of valuable lessons to be had with Santa if parents only take the time to help their kids learn.

Besides, when they're little enough to enjoy the magic of Christmas with childlike wonder, there are few things more fun for a parent than helping a kid become overloaded with excitement playing "track Santa" and watching them nod off to sleep.

Enjoy the Season. Remember the reason. God bless.
