Have a 7mm mag with boss break, wood and semi. Hearing protection is a must. The force that that thing has jellies the entire exit wound side a deer. No kick.
If I had it to do over, I would buy a 30-30 with iron sights. But, I always use hearing protection. Have excellent hearing and wish to keep it that way. When I shot the 7mm mag at a shooting range, the people in the shop freaked. They thought a bomb went off.
