Pearl Harbor was attacked on Dec 7, 1941. The next day, Dec 8 1941, the US declared war and entered the WWII fray.

Now, 78 years later almost to the day, we had an attack on the Pearl Harbor Navy base and an attack on the mainland at the Pensacola Navy base. Wonder what Dec 8 holds this year.

Interestingly regarding WWII, "Because the attack happened without a declaration of war and without explicit warning, the attack on Pearl Harbor was later judged in the Tokyo Trials to be a war crime."
