I always have had the utmost respect for this man and, frankly, he was my only non sports related "I want to be like him when I grow up" individual when I was younger. In fact, I tried to follow his footsteps many times over in terms of his logical reasoning of how to analyze data and how to properly present said data in a precise/concise manner.
He is often charged with being anti semetic due to his America first statements but he has never once made a statement against them that is even remotely anti semetic and they destroyed him for merely pushing a narrative of "we must take care of our own/America". He is a truly good man from all I have seen from him for many years and speaks honestly and is not afraid to do it. It is one of the saddest situations what they did to him for merely speaking about the issues honestly. Back when I was trying to get into a similar position as he was once in I tried to find a way to contact him for advice but was never able to do so.
Regardless though, great statement by him and it just goes to show that the very highest level of those retired types who love America watch us intently and know who the real researchers are and what they (we) have been doing/why we have been doing it.
