That's totally inaccurate and a fake news which is spreading. That's a traditional ritual for young men who are beaten by Krampus to enter in their adult years. The men of the town, since there are many tourists during the official parade and families, this year programmed a meeting before to avoid this violence during the real parade. Also note that the men have faces pictured with black, so the immigrants misunderstanding (but I think this is done to DIVIDE).
