While this information is interesting and there maybe some Dem defections - I believe the Impeachment Articles will pass and go to the Senate. I also believe this is what POTUS wants.

Do we expect the Senate Impeachment Trail to last that long? Tatically it would make sense for POTUS to drag it out as long as possible - taking notable Dem Senators off the campaign field while a damaging process of discovery is fleshed out in the public eye.
It would also make sense that the Senate trail process to be very fair and open as a contrast to the KGB methods of the House Dems. Good messaging and public confidence building for the eventual clearing of POTUS.
Also isn't Justice Roberts going to judge the case in the Senate? Isn't he compromised? Or is there going to be some last minute shake up on the Supreme Court? How is RBG doing?
