To take out a country, you only need to make that information available to its population.
It would bring life to a standstill and crush certain industries (gaming, hospitality…use your imagination).
It would destroy a society because of what it would reveal about people close to us. Destroy marriages and families; employment because of drastic reduction in productivity..
Hopefully, no other country does it to us. We could do the same to China and most likely have a greater impact because its people have less mobility than we do in the US.
Forget the voyeuristic nature of the information and focus on the impacts something like that would have on a society and its economy.
