HMCS CALGARY is now off the eastern coast of San Clemente Island, again dead-in-the-water. Four USN and one USCG in the area but not close to her. Tug J.M. HIDALGO is slightly to the west and should pass astern of CALGARY.
She was DIW southwest of San Clemente when I picked her up for the day, she has been hanging around in the San Diego OPAREA for many days. Came back hours later, she's off the eastern coast, DIW again. USN ships in the area and now a USCG enroute to Panama Canal, but none near CALGARY. Really hard to tell if shoe's having machinery issues or she's playing radar picket for some excercise. I'll keep an eye on her and the tug and she what happens.
Roger that, lilly pad ops would make sense. Planefags got any helo activity around San Clemente?
