I've seen some anons speculate that Lincoln was the last true legal POTUS before Trump because of some fuckery or another involving the creation of a separate legal entity called THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (all caps) that has 'usurped' the position of the true United States of America. I don't remember most of the details because it sounded pretty crackpot even for around here, but if our country hasn't been 'active' since Lincoln that would make basically anything after him not applicable to the country.
