Anon, why did you ignore count 3 of his case? Driving with driving privilege suspended. It implies a previous case. In my experience with traffic courts(not as a defendant), it takes some lack of compliance in paying fees on prior traffic cases or even a driving under the influence conviction to have your driving privileged suspended. Even drivers with one DUI don’t automatically have their driving privilege taken away. Since Mr. Halper is not poor, it removes the likelihood that his privilege was removed due to being delinquent in paying traffic citations(which does happen but is not likely in his case). So, I would lean toward more than one DUI resulting in loss of driving privileges. Look for other cases.
