Those who address an argument and not the messenger will, indeed, do all those things you suggest. However, I doubt this is true of those whose first response is an ad hom attack. You undermine your own argument with your ad hom response.

My post was a generalised observation/opinion concerning a certain group. Your response was personally directed at me. Learn the difference between stating an opinion and indulging in an ad hominen attack.

There is huge power in NAMING (people and things) that is largely unrecognised. There's nothing occult or esoteric about it - just fact. Look in the Bible and see when and how God changed or directed a person's name. Fascinating topic. NAMING is a massively powerful exercise. God brought the animals to Adam to NAME - naming is an exercise in authority over that which is named.
Parents will (or should) know how important it is when raising a child to NOT name them prematurely for an offence such as, for instance, telling a lie; or these days for showing signs of gender uncertainty. Reprimand for telling the lie but DO NOT call the child a liar.
I could write a book on the subject of naming but having already been reprimanded by an anon for verbosity (rightly so) so I'll shut up now!
Anyone wanting a simple way to differentiate between those whose intent is good and those whose intent is evil.
Lovingkindness = your good at my expense
Self-gratification = my good at your expense
