What's your point?
perhaps one could … but why bother?
Wrong fren. Allow me to correct what you said.
We were (are?) OK with .PNG or .JPG or
.png or .jpg
The issue we had was that the same identical .jpg file, if named with a .jpeg / .JPEG extension, would not show on hover. (There is no difference whatsoever between a .jpeg file that is named .jpg or .jpeg … the sole difference is the filename extension … you can rename the file and nothing changes except the name … but for reasons incomprehensible to this techfag, 8chan / 8kun's backend server treats the two filenames differently.)
Memefarmer has been converting most harvested images to .jpg with 95% quality setting for compression, to make the .png files smaller. But .png files are OK. I just have an issue with people using a 100% quality setting or 4-byte colors which create ginormous files that don't improve visual quality but load down the site and memory with excessive unnecessary bandwidth usage.
But you cannot herd anons. Anons will do what anons do.
