You need to get a clue.
China (and other countries) already slap high tariffs on our stuff. China does almost nothing to stop massive counterfeiting. This is why we have such a huge trade deficit with them and others.
By not imposing reciprocal import tariffs, we've decimated big sections of our country. Trump is trying to get these other countries to open up their markets to our products.
IMO the answer is hard goods sold here must be manufactured here. If other countries want to do the same, more power to them.
