We were never going to get out of this without major sacrifices of all kinds. But also consider that the world today is very different than 1929. THEY (China and everybody else) have a whole lot more to lose than we do. We actually don't need their junk. We can manufacture everything that we need right here. We just have to find more efficient ways to produce. Most of the rest of the world depends on us to buy their crap. Once that stops they will flounder and drown. Everything on our store shelves used to be made in the USA up until about 30 years ago. If they won't open up their markets and buy our products then fuck them. We don't have to buy their shit either.
Perhaps a crash of the global economic system is exactly what is needed for the reset that POTUS is talking about. It would be the perfect opportunity to burn the Fed down and tell the Rothschilds and the BIS to fuck off.
